The AMA’s committees are designed to provide ideas, best practices and lessons learned to help the entire industry rise to the challenges of our times. We encourage members to sign up and participate.

The Legislative Committee, run by the Director of Business Affairs, identifies key areas where advocacy is needed and works to establish processes to address these issues. The work combines internal AMA conversations to define the membership needs and external work with lobbyists, lawyers, advisors, and government officials to implement change. Some areas that are currently in discussion include tax exemption status, researching state and local incentive programs, and AI legislation.

The Partnership + Membership Committee grows and develops members and partners through active outreach, member surveys, and working with other committees to identify needs and activities that will foster growth. Membership and Partnerships and the sole source of funding for the AMA and this committee is crucial to ensure the continued success and growth of the organization.

The Programming Committee is dedicated to expanding our collective knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Time is spent organizing a diverse range of learning events that include guest speakers, hosting roundtables, and planning webinars, which provide a dynamic and comprehensive learning platform for our members. Programming directly informs the development of new resources that span a broad range of topics, providing valuable knowledge to our members.

The Events Committee coordinates in-person events to connect and build our community. There is an East Coast and West Coast Events Director to spearhead events in their locations with support from the committee.

The Engagement Committee (EC) enhances engagement within the industry by connecting with both current and prospective members. The EC will play an active role in hosting AMA events, spark conversations, and help broaden the existing AMA community.
